Australian actor Julian McMahon, known for his captivating performances in TV shows like FBI: Most Wanted and Marvel’s Fantastic Four, has left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. On July 2, at the age of 56, McMahon passed away after bravely battling cancer.
His wife, Kelly McMahon, shared the heartbreaking news with the world, stating that Julian
“died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer.”
She described him as someone who cherished life, family, friends, work, and fans alike. Julian’s deepest desire was to spread joy and positivity wherever he went.
“We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy,”
Kelly expressed.
“And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”
Julian McMahon’s journey in the entertainment realm began in Sydney on July 27, 1968. Starting as a model before transitioning into acting in 1989 with soap operas like The Power, the Passion and Home and Away laid the foundation for his successful career. His talent soon caught Hollywood’s eye leading him to roles in various TV series and films.
One of his pivotal roles was on WB’s Charmed as a half-demon character followed by his Golden Globe-nominated performance in Nip/Tuck. He also graced the big screen as supervillain Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four and its sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. His recent portrayal as team leader Jess LaCroix on FBI: Most Wanted further solidified his versatile acting prowess.
